The program

The Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering offers a Master’s a Doctoral degrees in the areas of Energy Conversion, Fluid Systems, and Manufacturing and Design areas, which are divided into subjects and research areas.

The program was founded in 1968, initially offering only Master’s degrees; since 1996, it also offers Doctoral degrees in its three core areas, having, since 2013, formed 50 Ph.D.s and 145 Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

The program’s main goal is to integrate teaching and research, in order to prepare highly qualified professionals in research, education and other areas, as well as studying and developing techniques that contribute to the development of science and technology.
