Research Center & Laboratories

The research centers and laboratories at the UNIFEI are focused on innovative and collaborative work, to solve complex challenges demanded by the industry, government, business and society.

Each research center/laboratory is usually composed by interdisciplinary faculty and linked to an academic institute. The funding can be public, private or both, from Brazil or abroad.

Green Hydrogen Center – Green Hydrogen, produced from renewable energy resources, is one of the sustainable energy vectors, relevant for our transition to a carbon neutral world.

Thus, CH2V constitutes the University’s most significant and comprehensive initiative in the field of hydrogen production and use, allowing the development of energy themes, especially those most relevant to Brazilian conditions, in addition to contributing to the sustainable development of a green hydrogen market in the Brazil.

The CTPB features state-of-the-art technology for emulsion characterization, enabling measurements of key properties including viscosity, density, interfacial tension, composition, and dimensions of dispersed phase droplets, both in the liquid and gas phases.

Situated in the expansion area of Unifei, the CTPB boasts facilities equipped with cutting-edge technologies for developing and testing equipment used in oil production under typical conditions of the Brazilian pre-salt. These conditions entail pressures that can reach up to 200 times atmospheric pressure, highly saline water, and elevated CO2 levels of up to 80% v/v.
